TOP 10 FILM DIRECTORS

To me, a director is someone who tells a story in their unique way using their knowledge of reference, lighting, environments and people. The camera and it’s movements dictate what should be shown in frame and notably,  what’s not in frame. A director takes all the elements of filmmaking (cinematography, music, stunts, composition, tone and much more) to mold it into a coherent compilation of frames in succession to instill an emotion inside of an audience. All while exploring a singular ultimate theme of how we should live as people.

These directors are the reason I choose to create the stories that I think are worth telling. The lens through which I live is inherently connected to the films of these men and many more that didn’t make the cut.
